Kenneth Ray Gasaway

Mr. Kenneth Ray Gasaway, 73, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018, at his home. Mr. Gasaway was born November 6, 1944, in LaGrange, son of the late J. B. and Rosie Dell Daniel Gasaway. A lifelong resident of Troup County, he was a veteran of service in the U.S. Army, was Baptist by faith, and was a retired building contractor. Ray loved riding his Harley-Davidson, fishing, and helping others. Survivors include his sister and brother in-law, Faye and John English of Lithia Springs; and nieces and nephews, including Deanna Costley of Hogansville. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Linda Gail Gasaway, who passed away January 12. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Fern Gasaway Smith and Shirley Gasaway Costley; his brother, Larry Darnell Gasaway; and nephews, Keith English and Douglas "Butch" Costley. A service is not being planned at this time. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
