It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Eugene Flournoy, who died on June 19, 2025.
Kenneth was born in Greenville, Georgia, on October 14, 1958, and remained a lifelong resident of the community he cherished. Before becoming disabled, Kenneth dedicated his career to his passion for mechanics, a trade he mastered with skill and dedication. Kenneth was known to be hard-headed at times, a testament to his strong will and convictions. Yet, beneath that exterior was a softhearted man who held his friends and family close, never forgetting those he loved. His unwavering loyalty and affection were a cornerstone of his character.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Faye and Luther Flournoy, and his sisters, Shirley Berry, Judy McDaniel, and Gloria Sistrunk. He is survived by his loving sisters, Mildred Crews and her husband Everett, and Elaine Hill and her husband Donald. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Kenneth loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ above all else. His faith was a guiding light throughout his life, and we find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace in eternity with Him. Kenneth's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 21, at Greenville Presbyterian Church. The Reverend Chad Hill will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 20.
