Kenneth Ronald "Ron" Drake

Mr. Kenneth Ronald "Ron" Drake, 84, of LaGrange, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Piedmont Macon Medical Center.

Mr. Drake was born October 14, 1938, in Hogansville, son of the late William Hulet Drake and Mittie Mae Collier Drake. A Vietnam veteran of service in the U.S. Navy, he was a retired boilermaker and was a member of The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmith, Forgers and Helpers Union. He loved his truck and enjoyed traveling and fishing.

Survivors include his brothers, Joe Drake of Moreland, James Drake of Hogansville, Bill Drake of Portland, OR, David Drake of Winston-Salem, NC, and Danny Drake of Hogansville; granddaughter, Michelle Lesley of Hogansville; a number of nieces and nephews; and a beloved friend, George Grimsley of Macon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Drake; his sister, Joy Eastmeade; and his brother Roy Drake.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 4th.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made charities which provide assistance to research of asbestos-related diseases.
