MR. KENNETH S. BOLTON
Mr. Kenneth S. Bolton, 74, of Luthersville, died Monday, January 27, 2014, at his home.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Friday, January 31, in the Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Dan Akins officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., Friday.
Mr. Bolton was born July 1, 1939, in Leesburg, son of the late Edward Elwood Bolton and Willie Lucille Stevens Reid. He had lived in Meriwether County since 1983, and was a retired self-employed diesel mechanic. Known for the love he had for his family, he enjoyed having fun and watching cowboy movies.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha Shepherd Bolton of Luthersville; daughters, Carey Len Gentzel of Newnan, Robin Ann Bolton of McRae; sons, Andy Tanner and Darlene Garman of Hogansville, Thad Tanner and his wife Tina of Newnan, James Tanner of Hogansville; sisters, Delores Hewett of Snellville, Martha Hughes, Lila Ann Sims and Tammy Hickey of Loganville, Debbie Lighthall of Atlanta; brother, Donald Bolton of Stone Mountain; thirteen grandchildren including Nicholas Starks Tanner who Mr. and Mrs. Bolton raised; and seven great-grandchildren.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
