Mr. Ken L. McKenney, 72, of Hogansville, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Mr. McKenney was born January 2, 1945, in Woodbury, son of the late Reid McKenney and Sarah McRae McKenney. A resident of Hogansville most of his life, he retired from Westek, Inc. after working in the textile industry in Hogansville for more than fifty years. He was a Mason and a former member of the Hogansville Jaycees, was an avid fisherman and golfer, and enjoyed yard sales and all things related to automobiles.
Survivors include his wife, Anne McKenney; daughter and son in-law, Annette and Jeff Duffee, all of Hogansville; brothers, Glenn McKenney of Marietta and Hank McKenney of Augusta; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Ken's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the family receiving friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday.
