Kayne Chandler Lockard, 23, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024.
Kayne was born March 15, 2001, in LaGrange and lived in Hogansville before making his home in North Carolina eight years ago. He attended Trinity Baptist Church in Gastonia and was employed by Mac.Bid. He was very loving, giving, and caring and is remembered for having the biggest smile and being very laid-back.
Survivors include his father, Justin Smith (Amber) of Hogansville; mother, Heather Moody (Brian) of Richmond, VA; brothers, Kameron Lockard of Plant City, FL, Hunter Waddell of Woodbury, Cole Smith and Cooper Smith of Hogansville; sisters, Khloe Moody and Kayla Moody of Richmond, VA; grandparents, Jennifer Singleton (Mathew) of Gastonia; and paternal great-grandparents, Skeet and Virginia Kent of Hogansville. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bruce Smith; maternal grandparents, Johnny Mack Lockard and Elizbeth Lockard; and his fiancée, Savannah Silver.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 27, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville. The Reverend Randall Hodge will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, prior to the service.
