Katrina Owens Williams

Mrs. Katrina Owens Williams, 60, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Mrs. Williams was born November 26, 1958, in Brewton, Alabama, daughter of the late Kerry Eugene Owens and Barbara Ann Cook Owens. A resident of Troup County most of her life, she was Baptist by faith and had been employed as a home health nurse's aide. Mrs. Williams would get up early to shop the yard sales, but most of all, she loved being with and caring for her family. Survivors include her three daughters, Katina and Orenthro Childs of West Point, Cissy Nelson of West Point, Kerri Elaine and Candi Nelson of LaGrange; grandchildren, Chasity Williams, Koltin Williams, Zabien Williams, Alea Nelson, Kelise Carson, Kristina Floyd, and Jay (Baby J) Ward; sister, Karen Sturkie of West Point; brother, Kenneth Owens of Columbus. The family will host a gathering for friends and family to celebrate the life of Mrs. Williams from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Sunday, May 12, at the Gray Hill Community Building on Bartley Road.
