Mrs. Kathy Watts VanHorn, 58, of Manchester, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Warm Springs Medical Center.
Born April 30, 1963 in Atlanta, Mrs. VanHorn was the daughter of the late Bobby Ray Watts and Jean Day Watts. She was a master cosmetologist, having been a former manager at Smart Styles in Roswell, and had lived in Meriwether County for 30 years. Mrs. VanHorn loved music, lighthouses, all animals, and loved her grandchildren most of all.
Survivors include her husband Rick VanHorn of Manchester; her children, Jeremy (Terry Huffman) Cox of Manchester, April (Dwaine) Berry of LaGrange, Brittany Cox of Manchester, Scott (Cathy) VanHorn of Morrow, and Helen Beth (Jason) Ivey of McDonough; sisters, Cindy (Steve) Whitlock of Hogansville and Bobbie Jean Frost of Manchester; and 19 grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. VanHorn was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Morris Smith.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 13, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home with the Reverend Tim South officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 until 4 Wednesday afternoon.
