Mrs. Kathryn V. DeBee, 99, of Greenville and formerly of Chester, WV, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Upson Regional Medical Center in Thomaston.
Mrs. DeBee was born September 12, 1922, in Chester, WV, daughter of the late Wilbur F. Spangler and Helen Worcester Spangler. A lifelong resident of Chester before moving to Meriwether County in 2014, she had made her home at Roosevelt Place in Warm Springs for the past several years. She was a member of Chester United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son and daughter in-law, Rex and Pam DeBee of Greenville; grandson, Alan DeBee of Newnan; granddaughters, Jennifer and Jody Massengale, Melissa and Jon Reynolds all of Greenville, Eva and Jeremy Romph of Senoia; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. DeBee; and her daughter, Darlene DeBee.
The family will plan a memorial service to be held later at Chester United Methodist Church, with interment to be in Holly Hill Cemetery, both located in Chester, WV.
