Kathryn Kent Christian

Mrs. Kathryn Lovina Kent Christian, born August 15, 1930, in Lone Oak, GA, passed peacefully on November 16, 2023 in Huntsville, AL.  She was raised in Hogansville, GA, the eldest of 11 children and lived most of her life in Madison County, AL.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Raymond Christian, and also her parents, Robert Louie Kent, Sr., and Odessa Lee Betts Kent. Her siblings Mary Kent Gladney, Barbara Kent Cargill, Rose Kent Bone, Bobby Jack Kent, Peggy Kent Seymour, Walter Leroy "Buck" Kent, Agnes Kent Driessens and Thomas "Tommy" Kent also preceded her in death. The surviving siblings are her oldest brother, Robert Louie "Skeet" Kent Jr., and her youngest sister Bonnie Kent Morgan. Kathryn was nicknamed "Sister" by her parents and siblings.

Kathryn is survived by her children Brenda Roberts, Debbie Schumann (Greg), Jim Christian, Janice White, and Mike Christian (Linda); her grandchildren: Mark Roberts (Kyong), David Roberts (Elaine), Zachary Christian (Nataly), Holly White, Martha Schumann, Kelsey Christian, Olivia Wright (David), and Grace Christian, and her great-grandchildren: Sofia and Luke Roberts, Gabriel Christian and Oscar Roberts.

Kathryn's selfless and endless love for her family is her enduring legacy. She will be "forever in our hearts" and deeply missed by her entire family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a date to be decided, and will be announced by Valhalla Funeral Home in Huntsville, AL.
