Kathie Tidwell Marchman

Mrs. Kathie Tidwell Marchman, 69, of Luthersville, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Mrs. Marchman was born October 26, 1949, in Newnan, daughter of the late William Edward Tidwell and Mary Massengale Tidwell. A resident of Meriwether County most of her life, she was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in the Rocky Mount Community and was a retired seamstress. She was a loving mother and friend, who enjoyed caring for and providing for her family. Survivors include her husband, Joel Marchman, of Luthersville; daughter, Kimberly Shelton of Greenville; sons, Bobby Lee Smith, Jr. of Hogansville, James Rodney Smith of LaGrange, Jody Edward Marchman and Jason Samuel Marchman of Luthersville; eleven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Ruth Bailey and Brenda Johnson. The family will host a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 21, at Bethel Baptist Church in the Rocky Mount Community of Meriwether County.
