Kathie Mezick King

Mrs. Kathie Mezick King, 67, of LaGrange, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021, at Hospice LaGrange. Mrs. King was born April 24, 1954, in Lanett, Alabama, daughter of the late Thomas LaVaughan Mezick and Katie McDonald Mezick Bartlett. A resident of Troup County most of her life, she was employed for many years as a practice manager for several area medical offices, and had been a member of both the Georgia and the Alabama Medical Group Management Associations. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy King of LaGrange; son and daughter in-law, Brandon and Kim King of LaGrange; daughter, Felicia King of Valley, AL; grandchildren, Noah King, Malachi King, and Cross King; sister and brother in-law, Beth and Joe Gordy of Sharpsburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Channell Mezick Bellora and her brother William Thomas, "Bubba" Mezick. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 27, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society are appreciated by the family.. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
