MRS. KATHERINE B. WOOTEN
Mrs. Katherine Baker Wooten, 85, of Greenville, died Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at Columbus Regional Medical Center.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 11, at the graveside in the College Park Cemetery, with the Reverend Bill Simmons officiating.
Born April 24, 1924, in East Point, Mrs. Wooten was the daughter of the late Israel William and Annie Baker. She was employed many years by Montag Corporation and had lived in Meriwether County for the past twenty years.
Survivors include sons, David Wooten of Greenville and Larry Wooten of Meansville; daughters, Twalla Vaughn of Atlanta and Karen Hayes of Hampton; fourteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Wooten; and her son, James L. (Jimmy) Wooten, Jr.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
