Justine Lewin Martin

Mrs. Justine L. Martin, 82, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015, at her home. Mrs. Martin was born April 13, 1933 in Thorp, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Herbert and Leona Rossmann Lewin. A resident of Hogansville since 1960, she was employed by Playtex International for 20 years, by Super Foods of Hogansville for many years, and retired from Wal-Mart in Newnan after 10 years of service. She was a member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Hogansville, where she was an Elder, had been active in the Presbyterian Women, was a former children's Sunday School teacher, and had been a member of the choir. Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Dale and Scott Simmons of LaGrange; sons and daughters in-law, David and Debbie Martin, Dan Martin, Doug and Eve Martin, all of Hogansville, Duane and Cindy Martin of Newnan, Dean Martin of LaGrange; eighteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ural Martin. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, with the Reverend Harrison Cain officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 until 2 Tuesday afternoon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, Post Office Box 176, Hogansville, GA 30230. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
