Julio Diaz, Jr.

Mr. Julio Diaz, Jr., 54, of Hogansville, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center. Julio was born December 22, 1966 in Fort Riley, Kansas. A resident of Hogansville for eight years, he was a mechanic who had worked with Stanford Automotive and Manning Transmission for many years. He enjoyed building model cars, cooking for the neighborhood, and loved his friends and family. Survivors include his wife, Amanda Diaz; son and daughter in-law, Ryan and Sarah Diaz and their children, Elizabeth, Rebecca, and Landon, all of Hogansville; daughters and son in-law, Jasmine Diaz and Brittany and David Garcia and their children, Allen and Joseph, all of Colorado; mother, Maria Diaz of Rex; sisters and brother in-law, Annette Diaz Barron of Rex and Suzzie and Terry Rackley of Mt. Olive, IL. Julio was preceded in death by his father, Julio Gonzales Diaz. Visitation and viewing will be held on Friday, September 17, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
