MRS. JULIA H. STONE
Mrs. Julia Hodnett Stone, of LaGrange, died Friday, April 27, 2012, at LaGrange Nursing and Rehabilitation.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 30, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Terry Fleming and Dr. Douglas DeCelle will officiate and entombment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 7 Sunday evening.
Mrs. Stone was born April 21, 1925, in Hogansville, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Barnes Hodnett. Before making her home in LaGrange, she lived in Atlanta, where she retired as an administrative officer from the Centers for Disease Control after 31 years of service. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange and was a former longtime member and Sunday School teacher at Peachtree Christian Church in Atlanta. Mrs. Stone was a talented artist, world traveler, and genealogist.
Survivors include her sister, Jane Hubbard of Hogansville; nieces and nephews, Paula Dement, Mary Jeter, Sammy Hubbard, Cathy Keith, Tommy Fleming, Rev. Terry Fleming, Larry Boggs, Jimmy Boggs, and Johnny Boggs; and step-children, Clark Stone, Mark Stone, and Paula Sherrer.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Services: 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 30th, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home
Interment: Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
