Juanita Hyde Lunsford

Ms. Juanita Hyde Lunsford, 90, of LaGrange, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Twin Fountains Home in LaGrange. Ms. Lunsford was born March 23, 1930, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Yank and Annie Newsome Hyde. A licensed practical nurse, she retired from Middle Georgia Hospital in Macon and then served as a private duty nurse. She returned to LaGrange in 1992, was a member of New Community Church, had been a member of the Active Life Center, and had served as a volunteer at Self-Help Harbor. Survivors include her daughter, Debra Robinson of LaGrange; son and daughter in-law, Richard and Melinda Lunsford of Pine Mountain; grandchildren, Michelle Pharis, Elizabeth Maxwell, Randy Reehal, Michael Lunsford; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, James Michael Lunsford. A graveside memorial service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, February 4, at Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange, with the Reverend David Kegel officiating. The family will greet friends at the graveside. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
