MRS. JOYCIE BROWN Mrs. Joycie Beall Brown, 66, of Hogansville, died Sunday, February 3, 2013, at Columbus Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Reverend Clinton Hughes will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 Tuesday night at the funeral home. Born November 7, 1946 in Hogansville, Mrs. Brown was the daughter of the late Frank Melvin Beall and the late Magdalen Johnson Beall Copeland. She retired from BellSouth and the Troup County School System, was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and had been active in the Junior Achievement program. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hogansville, where she served as treasurer and church secretary, was a member of the choir and a volunteer for AWANA. Survivors include her husband, Bill Brown of Hogansville; sons, Leon Merrill of Hogansville, Perry and Melanie Merrill of Brandon, FL; step-son, Greg and Giselle Brown of Atlanta; sister, Julia Morrow of Hogansville; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Melvin (Buster) Beall, Jr. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 9 Tuesday night, February 5th, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Services: 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 6th, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Interment: Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville
