Joyce V. Veal

Mrs. Joyce Veal, 73, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Veal was born December 28, 1947, daughter of the late Andrew Pike and Myrtle Powell Pike Owens. A resident of Troup County most of her life, she assisted her husband in the operation of Veal Heating and Air-conditioning for a number of years and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Heard County. She enjoyed flowers and gardening and loved to travel. Survivors include her husband, Eddie Veal of Hogansville; her children and their spouses, Milford and Amanda Lesley of LaGrange, Dianne and Kirk Bagwell of Woodstock, Darian and Michelle Lesley of Hogansville, Ricky and Marsha Veal of LaGrange, Mark Veal of Hogansville, Tammy and Robbie Bailey of Bristol, VA, Christy and Jon Owens of Newnan; seventeen grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Monday, April 12, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Donald Spradlin and Shawn Sanchez will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Sunday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
