Joyce Hamby Dollar

Mrs. Joyce Hamby Dollar, 83, of Greenville, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Dollar was born October 4, 1937, in Meriwether County, daughter of the late Charlie Hudson Hamby and Azzie Lee Hayes Hamby. A resident of Marietta for 39 years, she returned to make her home in Greenville in 2000 and was a member of Union Baptist Church. She enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for three generations of her family and loved to make people laugh and see them smile. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Dollar of Greenville; daughters, Wendy Durrett of Greenville, Wanda Snell and her husband Andy of Madison; step-son, Eddie Dollar and his wife Janie of St. Marks Community; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 5, at Union Baptist Church in the St. Marks Community of Meriwether County. The Reverend Bill Smith will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night. Claude A.
