MRS. SUSIE BRYANT-HORN Mrs. Joyce (Susie) Bryant-Horn, 57, of Hogansville, died Thursday, January 29, 2009, at her home. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 31, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Wayne Webb and the Reverend Shannon Hollis officiating. Born February 4, 1951, in Lincoln, Ala., Mrs. Bryant-Horn was the daughter of the late Otis Russell Hollis and the late Bessie Hodge Hollis. She was a nursing assistant, having been employed at Beaulieu Convalescent Center in Newnan and Clay County Hospital and Nursing Home in Ashland, Ala., and had lived at Hogansville for the past fifteen years. She attended Providence Baptist Church in Carroll county. Survivors include her husband, Lonnie D. Horn of Hogansville; daughters and son in-law, Dianne and Phil Pierce of Pinson, Ala., Chassity Bryant and Misty Bryant, both of Talladega, Ala.; son and daughter in-law, Jimmy and Yolanda Bryant of Ft. Benning; sisters, Carolyn Reeves of Culloden and Delores Brasher of Forsyth; brothers, James Hollis of Carrollton, Edgar Hollis of Austell, and Chuck Hollis of Douglasville; and grandchildren, Colten Carr, Travis Pierce, Mercedes Martinez, Tony Bryant Austin Bryant, Mariah Bryant, Andrew Bryant, Alex Bryant, Madison Holman, and Kendahl Holman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Roy (Duke) Hollis. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Attn: Gift management Services, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Dallas, TX 75244. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Friday night, January 30th, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Services: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 31st, in the Chapel of Claude A.
