Joyce Evans Brown, age 83, passed away peacefully February 5, 2021, after a long battle with dementia/Alzheimer's Disease. She was born March 22, 1937, in Phenix City, Alabama to Thomas Dewey Evans and Alma Bailey Evans. She married her high school sweetheart, Glover (Bill) Brown, Jr., in July, 1955 and he preceded her in death in 2015. She later resumed working outside the home as a volunteer at both Newnan and Coweta General Hospitals until she was offered a position with the Coweta County School System Food Service Division, where she remained until her retirement as the cafeteria manager of the Moreland Elementary School. In addition to working, Joyce enjoyed crafting and proved herself to be a talented artist with petal porcelain napkin rings, decorative baskets, pinecone nut wreaths,, as well as macrame' towel holders and purses (how 70's) all of which she joyfully gave as gifts to family and friends.
