Josie A. Wyche

Josie Ann Wyche, age 85, of Newnan, GA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on January 20, 1939, in Luthersville, GA, the daughter of the late Clarence Virgil Braswell and Clara Rowe Braswell. Ms. Wyche graduated from Luthersville High School, and was a retired Customer Representative for Georgia Power Company on Greenville Street in Newnan. She was employed there for 25 years until her retirement in 1994. She was Baptist by faith, enjoyed helping others, and was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, sister in-law, and friend.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Davenport; granddaughters, Mandy Tallman and Nicole McCoy; great-grandchildren, Corwin Tallman Yerby, Anna McCoy, and Caleb McCoy; sister-in law, Sally Braswell; nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 28, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Randall Hodge will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Sunday, prior to the service.
