Mr. Joshua Daniel Watts, 32, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015, in Vinton, Texas in an auto-truck accident which also took the life of his fiancée, Olivia Amber Arrendale.
Josh was born January 22, 1983, in LaGrange and lived in Troup County most of his life. He was a 2001 graduate of Callaway High School, was a member of Faith Baptist Church, and was employed for ten years at the Troup County Correctional Institution, serving as a sergeant. A talented singer, he loved music and performed for several years with the group "iWitness."
Survivors include his mother, Donna and Phillip Richardson of LaGrange; his father, J. D. and Sherri Watts of LaGrange; his daughter, Lillian Pearl Watts, his son, Collin James Watts, and their mother, Rhonda Watts of West Point; sisters, Whitney Anderson and Elizabeth Watts of Columbus, Niki Watts, Amber Martin and Lindsay Johnson of LaGrange, and Viktoria Richardson of Opelika, AL; brothers, Michael Watts and TSGT Chase Watts of Navarre, FL, and Bo Anderson of LaGrange; grandparents, Faye and Ron Newton, Janice Coker, and Jerry Pruitt, all of LaGrange; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 3, at Faith Baptist Church in LaGrange. The Reverend Brandon Brooks, the Reverend Josh Rhye and Dr. Charles Chapman will officiate and interment will be in Hillview East Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 8, Wednesday night.
