Joseph Kenneth (Joey) Mccartney Iii

MR. JOEY McCARTNEY Mr. Joey McCartney, 46, of Hogansville, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at West Georgia Medical Center. Joey was born December 8, 1968, in Atlanta, and lived in Troup County most of his life. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and a Master of Business Administration degree from LaGrange College and was employed as the information technology manager for Diverse Power. He was a member of Clearview Chapel in LaGrange. Survivors include his wife, Jenny McCartney, and his son, Garrett Joseph McCartney, both of Hogansville; his mother, Kirby McCartney, also of Hogansville; father, Ken McCartney of Newnan; and brother and sister in-law, Jeff and Stephanie McCartney of Pine Mountain. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 9, at Rosemont Baptist Church in LaGrange, with Pastor Charlie Metcalf and the Reverend Jeff McCartney officiating. The family will receive friends at Rosemont Baptist Church from 2 until 4 Sunday afternoon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Claude A.
