Joseph Ronald Davis

Mr. Joseph Ronald "Ronnie" Davis, 84, of Greenville, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Hospice LaGrange.

Mr. Davis was born April 5, 1940, in the Primrose Community of Meriwether County, son of the late Raymond Davis and Lola Smith Davis. A resident of Meriwether County most of his life, he was employed for many years as a millwright for Southern Machinery in Atlanta and attended Rehoboth Baptist Church in Moreland. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.

Survivors include his children, Randy Davis (Janice) of Carrollton, Sharon Baker of Panama City, FL, Joey Davis (Sharon) of Luthersville, Jamie Davis (Veronica) of Newnan, Robin Elliott (Tom) of Peachtree City, Donna Gray of Greenville, Bill Taylor of Alabama, and Carla Byrom of LaGrange; eighteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Davis.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 20, at Rehoboth Baptist Church in Moreland. Pastor Brian Hosmer will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday night.
