Johnny E. Bexton

Mr. Johnny E. Bexton, 77, of LaGrange, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2024, at his home.

Mr. Bexton was born May 22, 1947, in Randolph County, Alabama, son of the late John William Bexton and Irene Wright Bexton. A U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a graduate of West Georgia Technical College and retired from Trackmobile in LaGrange as a senior buyer. He was a member of New Community Church, was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his daughter, Diane Nixon of LaGrange; sons and daughters in-law, Matt and Lori Bexton of LaGrange, Andrew and Tammy Bexton of Manchester; grandchildren, Shannon Nixon, J.D. Nixon, Harley Bexton, John Bexton, Noah Bexton, Robert Cranson, Dustin Cranson; great-grandchildren, Layla and Hazel; and his brother, Patrick Bexton of LaGrange.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 17, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Randall Hodge officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Sunday, prior to the service.
