John N. Wilkinson Iii

Mr. John N. Wilkinson III, 84, of Atlanta, passed away at his home. Mr. Wilkinson was born April 4, 1935, in LaGrange, son of the late John Neal Wilkinson, Jr. and the late Agatha Ocheltree Wilkinson. Before making his home in Atlanta, he was a longtime resident of Hogansville and was a retired timber farmer and real estate developer. He was a graduate of Emory University and had served as a member of the board of directors of The Citizens Bank in Hogansville for a number of years. Survivors include his son and daughter in-law, Neal and Tammie Wilkinson of Hogansville; granddaughter, Kimberly Alter and her husband Marshall of Dallas; and great-grandchildren, M.J. Alter and Gannon Alter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Wilkinson Kunzer. The family is not planning a service at this time. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
