Mr. John D. "Whiskers" Trott, 82, of Luthersville, passed away Monday, April 22, 2019, at his home.
Mr. Trott was born June 20, 1936, in Birmingham, AL, son of the late John Thomas Trott and Myrtle Wilson Trott. He was Baptist by faith, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was known as a man who could not sit still and could work on anything. Prior to his retirement, he owned and operated Gwinnett Drywall.
Survivors include his wife, Sara Trott of Luthersville; daughter, Michelle "Shelly" Trott of Norcross; sons, Michael Trott and his wife Terri, Johnny Trott and his wife Karon, all of Luthersville; step-sons, James Gregory Thompson and his wife Denise of Carrollton, Richard Kelly Moran of Luthersville; 14 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 25, at Luthersville Baptist Church. The Reverend Joe Felder and the Reverend John Pape will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Wednesday night.
