John Henry Thornton

MR. JOHN H. THORNTON Mr. John Henry Thornton, 76, of LaGrange, died Monday, May 23, 2011, at Twin Fountains Home in LaGrange. Born June 28, 1934, in Heard County, Mr. Thornton was the son of the late Henry and Dovie Daniel Thornton. He lived in Troup County most of his life and was retired from Franklin Aluminum Corporation. Survivors include his sisters, Myrtice Davis of LaGrange and Annie Beatrice Cox of Rydal; brother, the Reverend Rufus Thornton of LaGrange; and several nieces and nephews. The family will hold a memorial service at a later time Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
