John Nathan Slayton

Mr. Nate Slayton, 59 of Greenville, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025 at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.

Born July 2, 1966 in Chattanooga, TN, Nate was the son of the late Ira Hobart Slayton and Ailene Caine Logue. He was a resident of Riverdale for 32 years before making his home in Greenville and was a pressman by trade.

Nate was a great father and an extremely loving husband. He enjoyed being outdoors, playing video games with his family, making others laugh with his dry humor and sarcastic wit, and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years and best friend of 42 years, Debbie Slayton of Greenville; sons, Jonathan Daniel Slayton of Greenville and John Christopher Slayton and his wife, Katrina of Smithfield, OH; sister, Becky Slayton of Alabama; and grandchildren, Leon, Edward, Shaylee, Mirra, Micah, and Voltron.
