MR. JOHN L. ROBERTSON Mr. John L. Robertson, 75, of Newnan, died Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 24, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with military honors.  The Reverend Kathy Broadwater and Dr. Bob Martin will officiate. Born May 18, 1932, in Grantville, Mr. Robertson was the son of the late Maynard and Stella Walburn Robertson. He graduated from Grantville High School in 1951 and joined the Air Force, receiving his basic training at Lackland AFB in Texas. During his 23 year Air Force career, he served in Texas, Alabama, Florida, Colorado, Montana, the Azores, Japan, Thailand, and Spain and retired with the rank of Technical Sergeant. While serving in Japan, he made a number of trips to South Vietnam to install or repair radar equipment. Following his military retirement, he was employed by ITT, serving in Alaska on "The Dew Line," which is the early warning system for the Northern United States. He was a member of Lovejoy United Methodist Church in Newnan. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Justiss Robertson; daughter and son in-law, Lynn and Mark Macie; sons and daughters in-law, John A. and Christy Robertson and Gregory D. and Janet Robertson, all of Newnan; brother and sister in-law, Jimmy and Jean Robertson of Port Charlotte, FL; grandchildren, Deann Robertson, Suzanne Hudson, Leigh Ann and Derwin Ware, Jamie Robertson and Mark Gomez, Bret Robertson and Sarah Davis, Lori Robertson, Sarah Robertson, Dwayne and Tara Robertson, Jordan Macie, Christopher and Amber McDaniel, and Nikki Arrington; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a brother in-law, J. P. Moon of Panama City, FL.  He was preceded in death by his son, Mark R. Robertson; brother, Jackie Robertson; and sister, Jean Moon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lovejoy United Methodist Church Building Fund,  60 E. Washington St., Newnan, GA   30263,  or to National Kidney Foundation of Georgia, 2951 Flowers Rd, Suite 211, Atlanta, GA   30341. The Claude A.
