JOHN WADE PHILLIPS

Mr. John Wade Phillips, 67 of Hogansville, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025, at his home.

Born May 18, 1957, in Newnan, Mr. Phillips was the son of the late Thaniel and Mildred Boswell Phillips. He was a lifelong resident of Hogansville and was Baptist by faith. Mr. Phillips was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and taking hunting trips; and loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle and everything Ford.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Phillips of Hogansville; Children, Dacia Clark (Wade) of West Point, Casey Phillips of Grantville, David Lynd (Linda) of Valley, AL, and Daniel Lynd (Kristen) of Newnan; grandchildren, Preston Queen (Tiffany), Camryn Goddette (Josh), Tiffani Clark, Baylie Clark, Makayla, Devin, Sheridan Garsee, Lawson Lynd, Coby Garsee, Caleb Lynd, Emma Grace Lynd, Aiden Lynd, and Emmett Lynd; and great-grandchildren, Eloise Queen and Kashton King.

Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Monday, May 19, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Reverend Jeff McCartney will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Sunday evening.
