MR. JOHN T. PEAVY
Mr. John Thomas Peavy, 82, of Hogansville, died Thursday, February 21, 2013, at his home.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 24, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Norman Denney will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Saturday night.
Born July 28, 1930, in Welch, Alabama, Mr. Peavy retired from Yellow Freight after serving as a truck driver for 41 years and then was employed by ADESA Vehicle Auction in Fairburn. He had lived at Hogansville for eighteen years and was a Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Denise Denney Peavy of Hogansville; sons and daughter in-law, Tim and Charlene Peavy of Fayetteville, Marty Peavy of Atlanta; step-sons and their wives, Shannon and Renee Walker of Manchester, Jason and Monica Walker of Hogansville; sister, Jean Evans of Douglasville; thirteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.

Interment: Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville
