John Joseph Lamey

Mr. John Joseph Lamey, 45, of Greenville, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015, at his home. Mr. Lamey was born January 5, 1970, in Cattaraugus County, New York, and lived in Newnan before making his home in Meriwether County in 1999. He was a building contractor and owned JD Custom Contracting, and enjoyed hunting and deep-sea fishing. Survivors include his wife, Diane Lamey of Greenville; daughter, Aleyx Lamey of Moreland; sons, John Joseph "Joey" Lamey, Jr., Jacob Daniel Lamey, and Tristan Zane Lamey, all of Greenville; his mother, Dolores Lamey of Greenville; grandchildren, Cadence Holloway and Rhylie Rose Lamey; sisters and brothers in-law, Pamela and David Perry of Newnan and Margie and Jackie Madaris of Moreland; and a brother, Robert Lamey of Palm Springs, California. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Paul Lamey. The family will host a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 27, at First White Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church on Gordon Rd., with the Reverend Robert Cason officiating. Claude A.
