JOHN M. (BUBBA) HENDRIX Mr. John Michael "Bubba" Hendrix, 57, of Hogansville, passed away at his home, Wednesday, April 1, 2015, after a valiant battle with cancer. Born September 6, 1957, in Newnan, Mr. Hendrix was a 1975 graduate of Hogansville High School and was a paramedic for American Medical Response-Troup County. He was a deacon of Faith Baptist Church in LaGrange, where he enjoyed singing in the choir and participating in church dramas. He was the loving husband of Luann Brown Hendrix; the proud father and father in-law of Holly Hendrix Prather and Dale Prather; and the doting grandfather of Nathan Prather. He is also survived by his sister in-law, Karen Dennis and her husband Tom Dennis; brothers in-law, Tommy Brown and his wife Susan Brown, and Wendell Herren; niece and nephews, Heather and Jason Burge, Emmett and Tara Brown, and Scott Herren; and great-niece and great-nephew, Skylar and Tyler Herren. He was preceded in death by his mother, June Fielder Hendrix; father, Frank Hendrix; and sister, Terri Hendrix Herren. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 3, at Faith Baptist Church. The Reverend Donald Yancey and the Reverend Charles Chapman will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. The family will receive friends at Faith Baptist Church in LaGrange from 6 until 9 Thursday night. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Assistance in Healthcare, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 600 Celebrate Life Pkwy., Newnan, GA 30265. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
