John Clay Gaddy, 48, of Griffin, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021, in the company of his loving wife of fourteen years, at Spalding Regional Medical Center in Griffin.
Mr. Gaddy was born July 3, 1973, in Riverdale, son of the late Billy Howard Gaddy and Lynn Bailey Gaddy. He was a Fire Apparatus Operator/Paramedic for the City of Forest Park Fire and Rescue, was an on-shift investigator for the Fire Marshall's Office, and was an adjunct instructor at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth. He was a former police officer and was a member of the Fire Investigators Association.
Survivors include his wife, Kriss Gaddy of Griffin; his children, Tyler (Lacey) Gaddy of Columbus, Amber (Michael) Hardy of Griffin, Morgan Gaddy of Locust Grove, Caleb Gaddy of Griffin; five grandchildren; sister, Michelle Smith of Moreland; brothers, Brad (Kimberly) Gaddy of Brooks, Scott Gaddy of Locust Grove.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 7, at Rock Springs Church, 219 Rock Springs Rd., Milner, GA, with Chief Jon Baker and Lt. Conway Ferguson officiating.
A funeral procession of fire vehicles will accompany Clay and Kriss to the church and will arrive at the church at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
