Mr. John Kenneth Duncan, 59, of Luthersville, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016, of injuries received in a truck accident in Troup County.
Mr. Duncan was born June 2, 1957, in Newnan, son of the late Murray Pennington Duncan and Hazel Jeanette Speights Duncan. A graduate of Palmetto High School, he was a member of Palmetto Masonic Lodge #74 and was attending Moreland First Baptist Church. He was employed by Georgia Power Company and was an avid outdoorsman.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Deborah Duncan of Luthersville; sons and daughters in-law, John and Meredith Duncan and their son Landon David of Spanaway, WA, Robert and Melissa Duncan and their daughter Abigail Lynn of Sharpsburg, Mike and Marie Duncan and their children Grace Rebecca and William Michael of Grantville; brothers and sisters, Glen Duncan of Newnan, Ellen Kelley and her husband Marion of Dayton, OH, Diane Farmer and her husband of Powder Springs, Wayne Duncan and his wife Joan of Alpharetta; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 27, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Daniel Ausbun will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Monday night.
