John Barry Cronic

Mr. John Barry Cronic, 53, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017, at Hospice LaGrange. Mr. Cronic was born March 6, 1963, in Atlanta, and lived in the Hogansville area most of his life. A veteran of service in the U.S. Navy, he was employed as a tree surgeon. Survivors include his children, Katherine Baker, Jerred Cronic, Jame Cronic, John Cronic, all of Dawsonville, Hannah Yearta and Cory Yearta, both of Hogansville; his mother, Pat smith of Hogansville; brothers, Greg Cronic and Brian Smith, both of Hogansville, and William (Bill) Smith of Ohio; a sister, Brenda Bassala of Lakewood, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, John W. Cronic, and his step-father, William J. (Bill) Smith. A service is not being planned at this time. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
