John Franklin "Frankie" Covington

Mr. John Franklin "Frankie" Covington, 50, of Grantville, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Mr. Covington was born March 24, 1975, in Atlanta and had lived in Coweta County since 1988. A multi-talented person, he was an expert in auto mechanics and repair, was a carpenter and had been involved in home construction, and could do anything that he set his mind to. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved physical training, hiking, and fishing, and had served as a mentor to many young people.

Survivors include his parents, Frank and Kathy Covington; and his brother, Danny Covington, all of Grantville.

A gathering to celebrate Frankie's life will be planned later.
