Mr. John W. Clontz, 54, of Thomasville, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016, at his home.
Born November 22, 1961 in LaGrange, Mr. Clontz was the son of John W. Flournoy and the late Barbara Bartlett Massengale. He lived most of his life in Hogansville, was an electrician by trade, and worked many years for Nelms Electrical Service in LaGrange.
Survivors include his father, John W. Flournoy of Milner; his sons and daughters, Jonathan B. Clontz of Phenix City AL, Melissa Clontz, Marcus Clontz, and Dean Clontz, all of Richmond, VA , Tara Clontz of Wilkes-Barre, PA; sister, Cindy Burrier Hubbard of Thomasville; brother, Keith Flournoy of Franklin; and grandchildren, Dakota, Samuel, Lilly, Emily, Logan, Aixa, Zaniel, Juanita, Carlos, and Sanaa. Johnny was preceded in death by his mother Barbara Massengale; brother, Greg Flournoy; and sisters, Janet L. Flournoy and Memory Freiberg.
The memorial service will be conducted at 11:30 am, Saturday, January 9, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Rick McMahan will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately before and after the service.
