Joann Denney Wyche

Mrs. Joann Denney Wyche, 78, of Greenville, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016, at West Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Wyche was born November 25, 1937, in Opelika, AL, daughter of the late Delbert and Grace Leonard Denney. A resident of Lakeland, FL for twenty years, she served as a bus driver for the Polk County, FL School System for a number of years. She was Baptist by faith and lived in Thomasville before making her home in Greenville in 2006. Survivors include her sister, Jeanette Estes of Hogansville; grandchildren, Christy Calhoun-Todd of Pensacola, FL, Clay Neill of LaGrange, Lee Calhoun and Sammy Calhoun of Hogansville; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy E. Wyche, and her daughter, Lisa Calhoun. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 19, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Michael Hornsby will officiate and interment will be in Southview Cemetery in Moreland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Monday night and from 1 until 3 Tuesday afternoon. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
