Mr. Jimmy N. Williamson, 71, of Hogansville, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mr. Williamson was born May 17, 1946, son of the late Pat Olan Williamson and Mary Cash Williamson. A resident of the Hogansville and Grantville area most of his life, he was employed by Uniroyal and Specialty Fabrics and Converting for 34 years prior to his retirement. He was Baptist by faith, was a veteran of service in the Army Reserve and was a member of the Grantville Veteran's Association. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf when he had the opportunity.
Survivors include his son, Jeffery Williamson of Franklin; daughter and son in-law, Deedee and Randy Hall of Wilmington, NC; brothers, Tony and Susan Williamson of Hogansville, Michael and Donna Williamson of LaGrange; and grandchildren, Seth Criss, Ava Criss, Zachary Coyne, and Kyrie Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Doler Williamson, and his sister, Renee Howard.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 1, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Terry Rainwater will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night.
