MR. JIMMY D. RICE Mr. Jimmy D. Rice, 56, of LaGrange, died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at West Georgia Medical Center. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 17, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jeremy Royster will officiate and interment will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday and Saturday nights. Born December 3, 1956, in LaGrange, Mr. Rice was a veteran of service in the U. S. Navy and had lived in LaGrange most of his life. He was employed as a welder at Caterpillar, Inc. Survivors include his wife, Joann Rice of LaGrange; daughters and sons in-law, Robin and Jamie Reynolds of Roanoke, AL, Barbara Jean and Harvis Holloway of LaGrange; his mother, Nancy Rice of LaGrange; brother and sister in-law, Freddie and Robin Rice of Newnan; grandson, Casey Holloway; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Crider; father, Garvin Lee Rice; sister, Vickie Hancock; and brother, Danny Lamar Rice. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Friday night, March 15th, and Saturday night, March 16th, at Claude A.
