Jimmy L. Mcwaters

MR. JIMMY L. McWATERS Mr. Jimmy L. McWaters, 77, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014, at his home. Mr. McWaters was born October 21, 1937, in Heard County, son of the late Harvey Lee McWaters and Theo Eley McWaters. A graduate of Georgia Tech, he traveled the world as an industrial consultant, but he always kept his home and heart in Hogansville. Survivors include his wife, B. J. Williams-McWaters of Hogansville; his devoted step-son, Whitney Williams of Hogansville; daughter, Laurie Kirk of Franklin; step-children, Beth Bryant and her husband, Clay of LaGrange, Seth Newsome of LaGrange, Tonya Waller and her husband, John of Knob Noster, MO; sister and brother in-law, Patricia and Billy Gentry of Franklin; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will host a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 27, at the First Baptist Church of Hogansville, with Dr. Clinton Hughes officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 307, Hogansville, GA 30230. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is handling arrangements. Services: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 27th, at First Baptist Church of Hogansville.
