Jimmy Lee Hamilton

Mr. Jimmy Lee Hamilton, 55, of Greenville, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016, at his home. Mr. Hamilton was born February 17, 1960, in Heard County, lived in Meriwether County all of his life, and was employed for a number of years at Durand-Wayland in LaGrange. He was Baptist by faith, loved gardening, and enjoyed auto mechanics. Survivors include his wife, Diana Hamilton of Greenville; daughter and son in-law, Jamie Lee and Patrick Bray of LaGrange; step-children, Kim Scaff of Newnan, Tina Scott and Mike Gay of LaGrange, Jeffery Gay of Pine Mountain; his mother, Peggy Hamilton of Greenville; brothers, James Robert Hamilton, Homer Eugene Hamilton, John Dewey Hamilton all of Greenville; fifteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, James Dewey Hamilton, brother, Billy Ray Hamilton, and step-son, Phillip Dewayne Gay. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 7, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Dwayne Perdue and the Reverend Max McCord will officiate and interment will be in the Mountville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 8 Saturday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
