MR. ROBERT GANN Mr. Robert Gann, 75, of Hogansville, passed away, Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at his home. Mr. Gann was born January 19, 1940 in Atlanta, son of the late Jim Buck Gann and Eva Louise Jordan Gann. He lived in Grantville before making his home in Heard County in 1997, was Pentecostal by faith, was a longtime employee of West Point Pepperell and Shaw Industries in Newnan, and retired from the City of Newnan. He loved fishing, attending small track racing, and watching wrestling and football, but will be most remembered for his keen sense of humor. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Gann of Hogansville; daughter, Vickie York of Newnan; son, Ray Gann and his fiancée, Brenda Dobbs of Moreland; step-children, Danny and Tammy Pike of LaGrange, Teresa and David Mapp of Moreland, Tommy Pike of Franklin, and Keith Pike of Lufkin,TX; sister, Louise Agan of Hogansville; brother, Rev. Harry Gann of Luthersville; fifteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Friday, October 23, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jerry Ennis will officiate and interment will be in the Franklin City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Thursday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
