Jewel Hunt Gaddy

Mrs. Jewel Hunt Gaddy, 84, of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021. Mrs. Gaddy was born May 24, 1937, in Meriwether County, daughter of the late Jeff and Lela Dorrough Hunt. A resident of Hogansville most of her life, she was a member and former treasurer of Welcome All Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, cooking, baking, and shopping. Survivors include her daughters and sons in-law, Kay and Ron Cannon, Lisa and Tim Wheeler, Jennifer and Eric Weaver, all of LaGrange. She was a loving Nama to her granddaughters, Amanda and Chris Chambless, Michelle Cannon and Lauren Ledbetter, Nicole Cannon, Beth and Massey Prince; great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Chambless; and great-grandson due to arrive soon, Rowan William Chambless. She is also survived by her sister in-law, Patricia Hunt of Franklin; and a number of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank W. Gaddy. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 8, at Welcome All Baptist Church in Hogansville. Dr. Tommy McLeroy and the Reverend Ronnie Cannon will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Saturday night.
