Jessica Shelnutt Barnett

Mrs. Jessica Shelnutt Barnett, 37, of Hogansville, passed away Monday, September 7, 2020, at her home. Jessica was born February 7, 1983, in LaGrange, and was a lifelong resident of Hogansville. She was a homemaker, was Baptist by faith, and enjoyed drawing, coloring, writing, and keeping journals. Survivors include her husband, Michael Barnett; daughters, Jaylea Barnett and Julie Barnett; son, Joseph Barnett; mother, Jennifer Williamson, all of Hogansville; brothers, Jeremy Royster of Herndon, VA, Daniel Shelnutt of Carrollton; and nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Allen Shelnutt. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Friday, September 11, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with the Reverend James Calhoun officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
