Jerry Wayne Weaver

Jerry Wayne Weaver, 66, of Lanett, Alabama, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018, at Bethany House Hospice in Auburn, Alabama. Jerry Wayne was born September 27, 1951, in Coweta County, Georgia and lived in Luthersville for many years before making his home in Lanett in 1996. Jerry was a Christian who enjoyed going to church, and he made friends easily and loved all of his friends. Hewas preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Weaver, and is survived by his many friends, including E. R. (Babe) Sorrells, who along with his late wife Cynthia Sorrells and their family, made certain that Jerry had a good place to live and was taken care of during his last years. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 2, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Rusty Letson will officiate and interment will be in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Coweta County. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
